This telescope is really nice for anyone. It needs an additional eyepiece that is stronger. Its base is a little hard to turn.

The 3x Orion Tri-Mag Barlow Lens delivers a 3x magnification boost to your eyepiece. It is great for lunar and planetary observing and perfect for extracting higher powers from short-focal-length telescopes which can be hard to magnify high enough.

The 10mm Orion Sirius Plossl Eyepiece is perfect for all types of telescopes. It is a moderately high power wide field eyepiece providing clear, sharp, high contrast images of planetary nebulas and globular star clusters.

Having trouble viewing details on the Moons surface? This neutral-density eyepiece filter reduces glare so you can see more detail and surface features. The 1.25" Orion 13% Transmission Moon Filter is especially useful with large aperture telescopes.

For safely observing and photographing the sun, this Orion solar filter fits your Orion SkyQuest XT6 Dobsonians, Orion AstroView 6 EQ, Orion StarBlast 6 and 6i Mini dobs. Glass filters are more durable and offer a more natural color than mylar.

I love this filter. You can use your telescope during the day now. Remember not to use your spotting scope to find it! You can use the shadow of the telescope to find it easy.

Would you like more contrast and less glare while viewing the moon and bright planets? The 1.25" Orion Variable Polarizing Telescope Filter reduces both and brings out details. And you can adjust the amount of light transmission for the perfect view.

Deceiving Description

The description does not say anything about the tube being the only thing that is able to fit in the case. The base and sides etc.. are left with out any thing to put them in. This description is very misleading! The telescope has to be taken apart. It is not like just taking it of of a tripod it is removing two springs that are very difficult to remove. Who would want to take their telescope apart every time they put in their case? This is False Advertising! I have only been offered to spend my own money to send it back with some bad service to top that and then being hung up on. They should at least pay for the shipping to send it back with a I am sorry that I am False Advertising. ,"The chart on the website has a column indicating T, for tube only or C, for complete i.e. OTA and mount.
