The great thing about zoom eyepieces is that you can locate an object at low power and then just zoom in with no switching of eyepieces. The 7-21mm Orion Explorer II zoom telescope eyepiece has fully coated optics and long eye relief.
As an economy zoom eyepiece it does the job but do not expect a high quality image from it. I bought it and use it for star testing, collimation and lining my CCD to what ever I am imaging in my flip mirror- saves swapping eye pieces. It does these jobsvery well but if you are looking for something to get good image detail at the lower F stops you would be wise to spend some more money a get a better quality zoom.
