The Orion Giant View 20x80 astronomy binoculars give you huge views. The large aperture, fully multi-coated optics provide exceptional light gathering capability for stargazing. Also good for high resolution long-distance terrestrial viewing.

This is a great binocular. They are well made and the view is spectacular. Fit, finish, and allignment are first rate. The case is a well made and needed accessory. This is a heavy binocular. I find it hard to use without a really good tripod. I use mine with an Orion XHD and the Paragon mount. This is really a fine setup for astronomy and you will enjoy your evenings.

The mirror in this 1.25" Orion Enhanced Star Diagonal has been meticulously polished and features enhanced aluminum coatings to yield excellent 97% reflectivity. It fits 1.25" focusers and accepts 1.25" eyepieces. Ideal for refractor telescopes.

Works great !

I bought two of these because they have compression ring eyepiece holders. This diagonal works better than the ones shipped with many refractors. You would expect that. The compression ring holder has kept me from scratching the barrels of my eyepieces after learning the hard way what set screws can do. I recommend these to anyone that has a heavy hand when tightening your eyepiece in place. It will save a lot of anxiety.

An upgraded version of the ShortTube 80, the 80-A is very portable and is perfect for the beginning astronomer. Wide field of view makes it ideal for deep sky viewing. The refractor optical tube attaches easily to any Orion telescope mount.

Great Scope

I seem to be an Orion fan. My latest purchase is the ShortTube 80. The fit and finish of my scope are excellent. The optics are clear and bright and the focuser seems to have no backlash. The accessories that come with this telescope are high quality and will serve you well. I use this scope on an HXD tripod with a Precision Slow-Motion Adapter and have an EQ-1 mount coming because the scope is capable of more power than I can use on a camera tripod. In the current configuration, I can be outside and set up in less than five minutes - charts, flashlight, scope and all. For casual observing, this is another great value from Orion and one that you cannot afford to miss. I really enjoy mine.

The Orion RedBeam Mini LED Flashlight is an essential astronomy accessory for reading star maps or looking inside your accessory case at night. It has an aluminum housing, rubber ON/OFF switch and includes batteries and key ring.

I keep one of these in my lense case and one with my binoculars. When attaching my binoculars to the Paragon mount, I stick the little thing in my mouth to light up the socket. No other Orion flashlight lets you do that with any ease. I really like the quality and ease of use. Also, the batteries seem to last a long time. Really a fine value.

Your arms can get tired and the image can get shaky without a tripod. The Orion Paragon-Plus Binocular Mount holds most binoculars up to 80mm for comfortable viewing at any height. Compatible with any tripod that has a 1/4" or 3/8" threaded post.

I bought this mount to use binoculars in astronomy. I was aware that I jiggle a lot, but until I began using this mount I didn't know just how much. I use 7 x 35 and 15 x 70 binoculars with the mount. The 7 x 35 binocular is so light that you have to use the control knobs to hold it in place. The 15 x 70s will balance. I have found that , when balanced, I can use two of the control knobs as clutches and pan vertically and horizontally at the same time. When I tighten one and release the mount, I have about a second of jiggle before returning to calm. You will find the finger saving bumper between the arms to be a blessing - thanks Orion. I am over six feet tall and I can easily get my binoculars directly overhead while standing. The mount is heavy and needs a good tripod such as the Orion XHD. Orion Tech Support told me that a well made 20 x 80 is the maximum load for this mount so, I expect that to be my next purchase. If you spend a lot of astronomy time with binoculars, you really need this mount.

The AstroView 120ST EQ provides great wide-field high contrast images for the intermediate observer or astrophotographer. It is perfect for viewing or photographing the moon, planets and even deep-sky objects.

Deal of the day

This is my second Orion telescope and was a 'deal of the day' - and what a deal. The views are bright, clear, and spectacular. The telescope sets up with ease. The mount tracks well. The polar scope is accurate and took no allignment. This is an excellent telescope and a 'deal' at full price.

The AstroView 90 is an affordable, high quality refractor telescope. It provides excellent image quality at an amazingly low price. Add an optional electronic drive for hands-free star tracking or a correct-image prism diagonal for daytime use.

...The optics are bright and clear. The mount is stable and, with a little practice, the setting circles work fine. Orion offers an excellent selection of accessories. The scope is light weight and setup is quick and easy. I regularly find many objects of interest. You will have little problem with large star groups if you use a long eyepiece. This is an enjoyable scope to use and offers lots of possibilities for beginner and intermediate back yard astronomers.
