My house is surrounded by tall trees which block out a large portion of the sky so one of my main concerns was portability. This telescope is the perfect size. It is just small enough for me to easily carry it around the yard or throw it in the front seat of my truck. With the 6” aperture it still brings in enough light to produce some great images. I really enjoy looking at the planets and I’ll never forget the first time I saw Saturn and Jupiter through this telescope.
I was a little skeptical about the Intelliscope feature at first. I was concerned that it would be difficult to setup and use. I am really happy I decided to go with it. Assembling the base was a little tricky but it is well worth the effort. It has helped me locate and identify several of the messier objects. All of which would have been difficult for me to locate as a newcomer to the hobby. I love the sky tour feature.
Overall this is truly a great telescope. It is high quality optically and mechanically and does not feel or look cheap like so many other entry level telescopes out there. I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a good mobile telescope.
Favorite object to observe: The moon and the planets Saturn and Jupiter.

Having trouble viewing details on the Moons surface? This neutral-density eyepiece filter reduces glare so you can see more detail and surface features. The 1.25" Orion 13% Transmission Moon Filter is especially useful with large aperture telescopes.

I purchased this filter with my new Starblast 6. What a difference it makes. When observing the moon without this filter, it is so bright making it hard to see the finer details. With the filter on, there is a lot more contrast and it is much easier on your eyes. I would highly recommend picking up one of these for your lunar viewing.
