The Meade Coronado Personal Solar Telescope allows for complete safe viewing of the sun. It reveals dramatic prominences, flares, and other solar phenomena. With this complete package, you get a hard case for safe storage and transport of the PST.

Great scope, even without sun spots

I believe the guy having trouble needed some help with the scope. This is a great scope even without sunspots (like the sun has been for the last bit). When the sunspots come back, it gets even better. There is a focus knob and a adjustment knob on the scope itself. Tweaking the adjustment knob (the black band on the tube) shows different features on the sun. You can see prominences on the edge of the sun as well with this scope...it's great. The eyepiece that comes with it isn't too great, so be sure to get a few Plossl's to go with it. For the money, this is a great way to get into solar observing.
