I have owned nitro-purged waterproof bino's that cost 2-3 times as much as these Nature Series 10x50's and could not see a $200.00 dollar increase in visual performance! These are excellent binoculars for day or night( I'm an amateur astronomer), birding and just looking around. If you can find a better pair that are Nitro-purged and waterproof, nicely armored with great optics and for a better price you would be lucky indeed! I would recommend these binoculars to anyone interested viewing day or night with more than the naked eye.

The Orion VersaGo II Altazimuth Mount is very stable yet light weight and portable at an affordable price. The tripod has a load capacity of 15lbs and is perfect for small to medium sized telescopes up to 6" aperture. A great grab-and-go tripod.

I have had this mount for just over a year and it has not let me down one bit! This mount is perfect for my 80mm refractor. It is my favorite grab n go mount and it goes everywhere with me. The stock grease is even OK in colder temps.Could use a safety set screw but that has not been a problem so far. The mount is smooth and strong. The aluminum legs do not detract from stability with my gear(up to 11lbs) I'm sure it could hold a short focal length reflector(4.5-6in.) just as well. I would (will) recommend this mount to a friend. Sincerely JMR

The SkyQuest XT8 Classic has features for both beginners and experienced stargazers. Its large aperture will help you see more. Its stable base glides easily and gives you total control to point at any celestial object. All for an affordable price.

Great Optics for the dollar!
By Mark Z
Hello, I 've owned my xt8 since oct 2005,and I must say that the optical quality is the best I've owned save for an apo refractor. This has blown away both my c8 celestron and 9.25 celestron sct. You really achive perfect focus, save for difraction spikes on bright objects. I've since sold my sct's prefering to stay with the optics on this unit. I even bought tube rings to mount on my skyview pro mount. Now it works both as a Dob and with an e/q mount if I wish. Not to mention you save megabucks over buying a sct.

Just the article I've been looking for.

I want say thanks to Mark Z for his review. I have been thinking about getting a Dob for the simplicity and light gathering. I too own an SCT10in. that sits mostly these days. I have an excellent 80mm refractor as a grab-n-go but I NEED MORE LIGHT! And I want a little better performance at the eyepiece than what I get from the SCT F-6.3. I may have made my choice thanks to Mark! Clear Skies J.M.Reilly
