The Orion VersaGo II Altazimuth Mount is very stable yet light weight and portable at an affordable price. The tripod has a load capacity of 15lbs and is perfect for small to medium sized telescopes up to 6" aperture. A great grab-and-go tripod.
I bought the Orion Versago II Altazimuth mount at the same time as I bought a 25X100 binocular, and they've proved a perfect marriage. It takes a while to achieve perfect balance, but once that's done once, set-up and takedown takes only a minute or two.
In my light-polluted neighborhood, big binoculars aren't very useful for astronomy -- though they give terrific close-ups of birds and squirrels -- so it's necessary to drive a couple of dozen miles for relatively dark sky. All I have to do is remove the scope and separate the head from the tripod. I leave the light tripod assembled and set it in the rear of my mini-van, and take off. Once I'm out in the country, it takes less than five minutes to be up and observing. Great set-up for star parties!

The Orion Dovetail L-Bracket allows you to couple small telescopes or binoculars to the Orion VersaGo altazimuth telescope mount's vertical arm. This bracket will hold telescopes and spotting scopes up to 6" in aperture and binoculars up to 100mm.
The coupling is inadequate for Orion's BT100 binocular telescope. The spring-loaded bolt that attaches the long side of the ell to the mounting bar between the two elements of the scope is a couple of millimeters too short, and can't be easily (non-destructively) removed. It's easy to improvise a kluge with a proper bolt and a couple of washers, but you lose the quick-release portability.
The catalog ad for the BT100 shows a greyed-out VersaGo mount. Maybe that's supposed to warn you that it's an imaginary configuration.
