The Observer 70mm is affordable and easy to operate. It has brighter more detailed view than the 60mm. The telescope comes with everything you need to start observing right away. This is a great beginner telescope.

I've owned this scope for about a year or so now and just love it. Great optics and excellent overall quality. I use it mostly for the Moon and planets. Nice and sharp images. Even at 140X. I bought an Orion 2X shorty barlow with it also, which I would recommend. The red dot finder works well and is easy to adjust. I do wish they gave you the option of ordering this scope with an optical finder though. It can be hard to star hop under light pollution without any magnifying power. A 6X30 finder would be nice. I also bought the motor drive with the hand control. It works great, although in some parts of the sky the counterweight hits the motor housing. Overall, this telescope is an excellent product and I give it 5 stars.
