The XT6i, with its object locator, allow the novice stargazer to find more than 14,000 objects with the push of a button. The dobsonian telescope base is very stable yet portable, and the computer system help locate objects in just a few seconds.
I have had this scope for more than a year now and use it just like the XT6 because it is very hard to align the IntelliScope. I have called Orion for help, and they have given me advice but none worked. I have it on level ground, read the owners manual, watched the video's, aligned the tube vertical, and the IntelliScope is off by several warp factors. If I had it to do over again, I would purchase the XT8 for about the same price without the IntelliScope.
