Overall this a great scope!!
But be aware that the assembly instructions were incorrect!! In the instructions as well as all images on this site (except 360 view) show the telescope assembled for the southern hemisphere. For us northern hemisphere users the scope must be set up in reverse (as in the 360 view above. The vertical stop must be on the other side of what the manual shows (to the left of the AZ axis when looking at the AZ axis bolt). Unless it is assembled correctly, gotos will not function and the encoder tests will show the ALT axis as in the negative (ex. -46 degrees) when raising the tube up. I'm just trying to save new users a bit of trouble. Other than this glaring oversight...this scope and mount and computer system is really good. Good optics...good mount...great ease of use and fast grab and go scope. I own 12 other scopes so i can attest to the quality of this scope. It is isn't the best...but very good for the money and perfect for kids.
Pros: reasonably good optics, solid mount, good computer system, fairly light weight
Cons: assembly instructions and site images wrong!!
