The Resolux 7x50 Waterproof Astronomy Binoculars have high-resolution, flat-field optics in a rugged, waterproof body. Multi-coatings on all optical surfaces give you bright, sharp, high contrast images. And 7x magnification yields a very wide field.

These binoculars are just fantastic ! the first thing I noticed when I opened the package was how solid and well made they feel. they do seem to be a little on the heavy side, but considering how rugged they are I am willing to accept that. I was totally Impressed at how large the diameter of the eyepiece lenses are. I have looked through so many other binoculars and could not see the whole field of view with my glasses on, not so with the Resolux. I was able to see the whole field of view and it was not even necessary to roll down the eye cups. I know that these are astronomy binoculars but the first thing I looked at was birds in the backyard, the view was bright, clear and natural. and were very comfortable to look through with no hint of any eyestrain. but the real surprise came later that night when I turned loose on the stars ! the star images were clear and bright with absolute pinpoint images, even to the edge of the field of view. the rubber armor gives a comfortable feel and grip. and I am also happy with the other great feature like being water proof and fog proof, with nitrogen filling and large BAK-4 prisms and fully multicoated optics. and the included tripod adapter. the individual focus is great for astronomy and gives a precise control. but may not be the best choice on moving objects. over all I don't think I could have chose a better pair without spending hundreds of dollars more. and am very happy with my purchase.
