This refractor stands out as a great and fairly inexpensive option for introductory Astrophotography. The option to Piggy- back or shoot directly through the Scope makes taking great photos quite easy. With the mounting accessories included in this package you'll be taking great deep field shots very quickly. Adding the 2 axis motor drive, a T-Ring, and the Polar alignment scope (sold seperately) is a must for through the scope shooting. But this package comes with everything else you need to start shooting celestial objects. You will find it fast and easy to set up and piggy-back any camera on the included OTA mounting rings. Good color saturation and a wide field of view compliment this scope for clear, sharp digital or film photography. At 40 lbs total weight with the SkyView mount and tripod its not something you can take camping with you, but for backyard observing with family or friends this system is a perfect inexpensive option for the seasoned observer or Astrophotographer alike.
