The StarBlast 6 reflector is a great telescope for the whole family. The lightweight and portable design allow you to set this up just about anywhere, and it packs away easily for storage or transport. Good for both planetary and deep sky observing.

I have been stargazing most of my life. At 10 I built a telescope from a camera and a binocular lens. I could see the moon in fair detail. I have had a 6 inch reflector but it was huge and heavy. I decieded to try the Starblast 6 and it is so light thatI can go to the dark skies if I want to. This scope is well built and has good optics. I give it a solid A.

Compared to other 6mm telescope eyepieces, the 6mm Orion Expanse Eyepiece gives you a wider field perfect for detailed views of the moon, planets, and double stars. With long eye relief even eyeglass wearers can view the entire field of view.

I ordered the eyepiece for my Starblast 6. This eyepiece renders 125x which is as far as I wish to stretch a telescope. I am very pleased with it`s performance especially looking at the Orion Nebula, the detail was amazing. Of course the moon was good but it is a little too powerful for lunar observation. Planets look fantastic as well. I would recommend to a friend.
