The Celestron NexStar 4SE GoTo allows you to view almost 40,000 celestial objects at the push of a button. This easy to set up telescope is great for planetary and lunar viewing, but is also good for the brighter deep sky objects.
I've owned this scope for three years now. I have had more fun with this guy than I do with my 12.5" dob, mainly because of its portability and ease of use. The tracking is very accurate, the optics have provided me with excellent planetary, lunar, and even some deep space views. I believe that this scope is a great intermediary instrument for those wishing to begin photographing the sky, because it gives one the opportunity to learn how to set up and use a go-to system without the added weight and time needed for a larger set up. I definitely recommend this telescope. In case you are new to Celestron, I compare their products to Macintosh with regard to innovation, ease of use, and of course customer satisfaction and support. They will always be my first choice.
