Do you need some more height on your SkyView Pro Mount? The Orion SkyView Pro Telescope Mount Extension raises the head of the mount 16" making it ideal for refractor use. It includes connecting plates and hardware.

This extension is very well engineered and does provide the height and stability that I was looking for. Be forewarned that this is HEAVY and is not suitable for some tripods that it will fit on. I use it on a 2" tubular steel CG5 style tripod and it's fine but it is too heavy for my Vixen Great Polaris tripod. It's weight may turn your grab and go into a 2 or more piece operation unless you are relatively strong and fit.

Pros: stable, well engineered
Cons: heavy

The Orion ShortTube 80 is perfect being used as a guide scope with a CCD autoguider. It is a compact scope with optics that deliver bright wide-field images. This product is just the tube assembly with no accessories.

The Short Tube 80 that I received has better than expected optics and the stock focuser is smooth and tight. I have done solar, lunar, DSO, and double star observing with this little scope and while it is not fantastic at anything other than wide field, low power viewing it does everything else well enough to be very entertaining. I use this scope along side a larger refractor on an alt-az mount and the ST80 makes an awesome finder scope. It's nice to have a wide field view of an object on one side and a much higher mag view on the other.

This 105mm ID Pair of Orion Guide Scope Rings will attach to a mounting plate for Orion guidescopes of up to 80mm aperture. Each ring has three black nylon alignment screws which will not scratch the guidescope finish.

These rings are quite useful and make aligning the scope that I use them with very easy.
