Orion Premium 190mm f/5.3 Mak-Newt Astrograph Telescope
This high-performing telescope rivals apochromatic refractors, at a fraction of the price. The Orion Premium 190mm will deliver crisp and detailed views of deep-sky objects. Attach a camera to capture beautiful images of even the faintest objects.

I just received my order and so far I'm impressed. I have not yet performed any sky imaging for which I purchased this, due to poor sky conditions, so my review is a first impression and thus why only 4 stars. However based on my experience with Orion and their products, I have no doubt they will be entitled to the 5th star once I take this outdoors and put a camera on it. The scope arrived well packaged and complete. Upon opening it I must say I was surprised at the size of the OTA, but only because it's hard to visualize with only dimensions. However, it was impressive. The first thing I did was to check out the collimation. It was just slightly off which I would expect after being shipped. I tried the included col. cap and it looked very close, but upon using a laser, found small adjustments were needed. I did purchase the 1.25 centering adapter, but still found that you could wiggle the collimator slightly, so I had to try a couple times. Truth will only be known when I image. I also purchased the optional fan and the motor driven focuser. Two of the screws provided with the adapter plate for the motor were not long enough. I also read that in another review. So I went to Ace HW and was able to get the correct length screws and it then installed fine. I did a quick visual test of a water tower over a mile away, and found that I needed to add a 1.25" ext tube to achieve focus. I test fitted my camera with the 2" adapter and everything was fine there and focus could be achieved on the same tower without issue. So far I've been impressed with Orion's products and have found their customer service to be outstanding. This is my fourth Orion telescope and I've never been disappointed yet.
