ScopeGuy's Reviews

The SkyScanner 100mm table top reflector is a perfect starter telescope. It is large enough to view night sky objects such as the Moon, planets, and bright nebulas and star clusters, yet compact enough to sit on a desk or store in your closet.

This low cost scope is ideal for a go scope. It is easy to use, have good aperture size and very portable. This scope needs very little storage space and adapts quite easily to your existing 1.25mm eyepieces and other basic accessories.
This scope is not recommended as a main scope. Go with the orion xt6 or xt8. Get a good main scope and purchase accessories for it. Then use some of those accessories on the Orion SkyScanner since the supplied eyepieces are sub par.
Favorite viewing location: Guyana
Favorite object to observe: Swan Nebula, Orion Nebula, Jupiter, Saturn, Moon
Pros: good portable second scope, very affordable, good for skyscannning
Cons: not suitable as a main scope, economical only at low magnifications <60x, not good for planetary viewing
Yes, I recommend this product!
