The Celestron SkyMaster 20x80 binocular features four-element objective lenses for ultra sharp focus across the field of view, and the multi-coated optics provide extremely bright views. Perfect for astronomy and long distance terrestrial viewing.
I exchanged the Orion 15x70 binoculars for the Celestron 20x80 binoculars because the Orion's didn't work well for looking at the stars which is what I bought them for. I was a bit concerned the Celestron's would disappoint me too, but thankfully they did not. The moon is magnificent with many surface features evident, Jupiter is easily seen with its 4 major moons, the Pleiades star cluster is stunning, and even the Orion Nebula is visible. Stars are bright pinpoints, but focusing could be a bit easier, as the focus knob could have a bit more range.
These will probably get more use than any of my telescopes, simply because you can grab them and go. I find the best way to view is to lie on my back and look up. This way they are very steady when you hold them and you can easily scan the sky.
