An upgraded version of the ShortTube 80, the 80-A is very portable and is perfect for the beginning astronomer. Wide field of view makes it ideal for deep sky viewing. The refractor optical tube attaches easily to any Orion telescope mount.

This is a very good system. It is rock solid and even has very little shaking even in a 30+mph sand storm! Movement is smooth in both alt and az and the scope stays where you point it.

Want to replace your existing rack-and-pinion focuser on your Orion reflector? The 2" Orion Crayford-Style Focuser is a good upgrade and provides smooth, accurate focusing. Very easy to install and lets you easily achieve the sharpest possible focus.

This focuser is extremely smooth and was easy to install on my 12" Intelliscope. My only problem is that the directions didn't mention the need to place the spacer under the scope when changing out the rack and pinion focuser.
