For deep sky observing in light-polluted areas this 1.25" Orion SkyGlow Broadband Telescope filter is perfect. It blocks the most common wavelengths of light pollution for increased contrast and better views.
Increases detail by allowing more contrast, I just don't go past 130X with my Orion Space Probe 130ST (650fl/f:5) when I use this filter. Better for deep space objetcs than for planets. But best is the advice/instruction from Orion's customer service people. We started with the hobbie just months ago, but our observations are way above our expectations thanks to their help. I always call before I buy, and so far ... SUPER!, GREAT! Thanks guys!
The 5mm Orion Edge-On Planetary telescope eyepiece is a great high powered eyepiece perfect for viewing details of the moon or planets. The flat field design ensures sharp focus out to the edge and the long eye relief is great, even with eyeglasses.
We have enjoyed beautiful, super sharp views of Saturn, its rings and up to four of it moons with this eyepiece in our Orion Space Probe 130ST, we have also enjoyed views of Venus, Mars, Jupiter is just fantastic!, but the most surprising of all was theview of Uranus, imposible to observe with any other eyepiece we have up to this point. This eyepiece was recommended by one of Orion's staff when I called over the phone, great advice! Great Eyepiece!
The 3x Orion Tri-Mag Barlow Lens delivers a 3x magnification boost to your eyepiece. It is great for lunar and planetary observing and perfect for extracting higher powers from short-focal-length telescopes which can be hard to magnify high enough.
I am so happy that my wife was able to see saturn, for the first time with such detail with the eye releif that the 26mm eyepiece offers, along with the magnification and clarity that this barlow provides. With our Space Probe 130ST the combination of the barlow and the 26mm eyepiece offer way better size and detail, that using our other 9.7 eyepiece by itself. Superb! This is the ideal solution for the people who wears glasses, and need the eye releif of "larger" eye pieces.
