Orion 8" f/4.0 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector Telescope
This telescope is perfect for wide field astrophotography. It provides high quality images, and with the optional coma corrector you can achieve coma free stars at the edges. The 8in. astrograph is a portable high quality telescope at a great price.

basically a good scope for the price. The mirror is excellent and once in collimation it delivers very good visual and astrophoto images. An F4 scope, however is extremely reliant for excellent collimation and the primary collimation springs are far to weak to achieve as well as retain good collimation. The mirror cell is very light and well designed, but the performance is severely degraded by these cheap and weak collimation support screws. I replaced mine with much stronger ones and it improved collimation retention by 100%. Not every buyer is willing or able to do this. It's not smart to negate the performance of what is capable of being a very good instrument by cutting corners on essential mechanical parts.
