Orion AstroView 100mm Equatorial Refractor Telescope
Orion AstroView 100mm Equatorial Refractor Telescope
The Orion AstroView 100mm is a wonderful telescope for the serious beginner or intermediate stargazer. The included tripod, equatorial mount, and polar-alignment scope make finding and viewing star clusters, nebulae and planets smooth and effortless.

I got the AstroView 100 as a gift a couple of weeks ago, and have only had 3 clear nights to use it due to all the snow storms this year. I'm well-pleased, though, with the limited nights of viewing. However, I must say assembly was challenging. I'm a rank amateur, so the terminology was daunting and we found many of the steps were unnecessary or incorrect. It took the better part of a Saturday afternoon and evening before we got it put together. But, the illustrations were the best guide. We're planning a trip to Nebraska in a few weeks, so I'm excited to take it out in the dark skies above the prairies.
