The compact yet powerful Orion Apex 102mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope is great for observers wanting to get fantastic views during the night or day. Small enough that you can tuck it into a daypack or store it on a bookshelf.

Sharp optics, small size and weight, zero image shift when focusing...what is not to like? I purchased used and sold off the accessories that came with the scope and ended up with a total outlay of $55.00! I use my TV diagonal and Howie Glatter laser finder and University Optics Orthos and TV Plossls with the scope mounted on a Bogan tripod and a Universal Astronomics MicroStar mount for a near perfect fast set up scope. Cool down is not an issue with this small aperture, though I will place the scope in an unheated vehicle before dinner on winter nights. With a erecting prism it makes a great spotter for daytime nature studies. Great little scope to carry in the car on weekend trips and is airline portable. Excellent little scope!!

Orion ED100 100mm f/9 Apochromatic Refractor Telescope
Already have a good mount but want another scope to put on it? Orion's 100mm ED refractor telescope is perfect for the advanced observer or astrophotographer wanting great views at an amazing price. The ED glass provides very low color distortion.

The first unit shipped was off in collimation. As the lens cell is not adjustable, I returned it for replacement. Orion's customer service department is outstanding. My second unit has an excellent objective lens and spot on collimation. The focuser action is smooth and precise with sharp focus easily obtained and maintaned (even a heavy binoviewer is held in place with no slipping). Chromatic aberration is well corrected for, and is really absent in focus during steady seeing. Probably the best value out there for a 100mm APO today. Highly recommended.

 30mm Orion Ultrascopic Telescope Eyepiece
30mm Orion Ultrascopic Telescope Eyepiece
The 5-element design of the 30mm Orion Ultrascopic Eyepiece results in flat-field images superior to those of simpler 4-element designs. This eyepiece has a wide field of view and is parfocal allowing you to switch powers with minimal refocusing.

Sharp to the edge with excellent light throughput and zero ghosting and stray light reflections. No optical distortions seen at all at this f.l. One of the best values, considering the high Japanese quality, on the market today. Compares favourably to TV Plossls.
