Have you ever wanted to take a picture of what you were viewing through your telescope? The Orion SteadyPix Deluxe Camera Mount lets you! It securely holds virtually any camera up to an eyepiece for afocal photography of celestial objects.
This picture was taken using my point and shoot 4X zoom camera, and my XT 8 Classic Dobsonian with a 25mm eyepiece. I had to take a video, following the jet in my finder scope. Not the best resolution, but it was a moveing target at altitude. Took this snapshot from the video. You can orient the shot to be right side up by turning the eye piece untill the camera monitor shows the correct orientation. Daytime shots can be just as intresting as night shots of the sky. This camera mount opens up lots of possibilities.Love it!....Bill.

Do you have an Orion finder scope that you want to mount on your non-Orion telescope? This dovetail base for Orion finder scopes lets you do just that. The aluminum base fits any diameter tube. Not for use on Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes.
After using the EZ Finder on my XT8 for a while I swapped it out for the 9X50 right-angle finder scope. After using both I couldn't decide which finder I liked better. Thanks to the Orion Dovetail Base, it was easy to mount a second aiming device to my XT8. I could not be happier. Each finder has it's own advantages and switching between the two gets me where I want to be fast!
Favorite viewing location: I view from my back deck at home.
