Attach the Orion Precision Slow-Motion Adapter to any camera tripod to add micro-motion control. It is very useful for tracking celestial objects with binoculars or spotting scopes.

Good with the right scope or camera

Once I figured out the tightening mechanism for attaching it to the scope, it was fairly sturdy - this does what it's supposed to do but it is not a replacement for a mount with slow-motion controls. If you are using a small Mak (or camera) or if you are only using it for terrestrial applications it works pretty well. For refractors or heavier scopes it amplifies any balance issues as it raises the scope's center of gravity fairly high about the pan head of the mount. If you trust the clutch on your altitude axis it will work but it proved too scary for me and my ST80 at zenith. I experienced none of the backlash issues that other reviewers had.

The Orion Waist Case Accessory Holder is a good way to keep your often-used accessories protected, organized and within easy reach so you don't have to fumble through the accessory tray or walk over to your observing table. Fits waist sizes up to 58"

I am surprised nobody has reviewed this yet. I just purchased my second one of these - the first one will be given away (without my eyepieces!) to a friend. This is the single most useful accessory I have. It may not do the trick for those case-of-20-eyepieces-in-bolt-cases types, but for me a couple of 2

The ShortTube 80-T is ideal for beginning stargazing or terrestrial viewing. This scope offers a wide field of view with sharper images and better definition and contrast. Attaches to Orion equatorial mounts or photo tripods.

I was looking at this as an ultra-portable astronomy and nature scope. The optics are quite good if you don't push the magnification too high (which you won't with the supplied Plossls). I won't dwell too long on daytime viewing with the correct-image prism diagonal, except to say I was quite pleased. At night, I pushed it to about 80x with other eyepieces and a barlow on the moon with good results there is some false color on bright objects but WAY less than I had expected certainly not enough to bother me at this price. On Jupiter, not much detail could be resolved other than the Galilean moons and northern and southern bands - but that's still good for a tiny scope such as this. This scope is wonderful for bright open clusters and sweeping star fields (something my best planetary scope cannot do well). The stars at the edge of the field are not as sharp as those in the center, but that's not a surprise at F5 (and at this price). The focuser is a bit stiff and does have some image shift which bothered me at first but a good focuser costs more than I spent on the whole package. If money were no object, I would buy a TMB 92mm F5.5 but this package cost 1/10th the price of that scope! I am planning to take this with me to the Caribbean with a Paragon-Plus XHD tripod for casual viewing, day and night. Four stars out of five only because of the focuser.

For easy aiming of bigger telescopes, the 9x50 Right-Angle Correct-Image Finder Scope shows you an upright, non-reversed image. And the right-angle design allows for comfortable viewing.

9x50 RACI Finder scope

It works well enough - there was some fuzz on the crosshairs but that was easy enough to remove. Even after adjusting the focus repeatedly, the image quality doesn't match my Orion 8x40 straight- through finder, but... A) it's only a finder scope B) it doesn't hurt my neck to use it! If you find yourself doing painful contortions to sight objects near the zenith, you need a RACI finder.
